Fruit puree – for baby

Fruit puree – for baby

20 min
Serve this sour mango fruit puree as porridge topping in order to ensure a burst of flavours for your baby. The content of vitamin C in the fruit puree promotes the absorption of iron, and you can advantageously serve the fruit puree for dessert after lunch or dinner. This recipe for fruit puree is suitable for babies aged 6-9 months.

Here's how you do it

  • Bring mango, pear, water and vanilla to a boil in a heavy bottom saucepan.
  • Cook it uncovered on a low heat for approx. 15 min. - or until the fruit is tender. Stir occasionally.
  • Blend the fruit mix, for instance with a hand blender, until the puree is smooth.
Serving suggestion
  • Serve 1-2 tbsp. fruit puree for one portion of whole grain porridge.
Enjoy your meal!
Freezing tips

You can advantageously freeze the rest of the fruit puree in a frozen food packaging, and you will have a quick second helping to a portion of puree or porridge.

Tip

If your baby is ready for food with a coarser consistency, it is not necessary to blend the fruit puree.
